Jeanne Norton Hammett was born in Annapolis Maryland. The daughter of a State Department Foreign Service Officer, she lived with her family in West Africa and Bangkok Thailand until her senior year of high school. She then returned to her Maryland roots, where she attended St. Mary's College of Maryland and earned a bachelors degree in Art in 1977. Jeanne worked for ten years as a professional artist/graphic artist. In early 1989 she started her own business as a freelance graphic artist and silk-screen artist. Jeanne has had numerous one person shows, as well as shows with other artists in various galleries throughout the state of Maryland. Jeanne and her husband Donnie live in St. Mary's County Maryland. Jeanne is represented by the North End Gallery in Leonardtown MD, and The Aurora Gallery in Annapolis MD.
